           Our Bowling Green is located at Ronaldshay Park, off Quakers Lane, and  has been in situ since the 1920's.  Richmond ( Yorks ) Bowls Club was formed in 1951.  It is open to members and visitors during the season (April- September) from 11am until dusk seven days a week.  Over the years the property has undergone various modifications including ditch underpinning,   and now complies to required standards for Match play at all levels. 

           From mid May  Free 'Taster' sessions take place each Wednesday at 2pm.  Flat soled shoes and bowls of various sizes are provided for those wanting to try our sport.   



   Mission Statement - Richmond (Yorks) Bowls Club.

     Our mission is to provide excellent bowling and club facilities for the    benefit of all members and our guests.  In satisfying this purpose, Richmond (Yorks) Bowls Clubs aim is to INSPIRE through :-

  1. Increasing and attracting new membership by promoting the club as a place where fun and friendship are fostered.

  2. Notifying and encouraging members to attend and participate in In-House club events and weekly district League and occasional tournaments. 

  3. Support members by providing friendly and constructive instruction which will encourage them  to play the game to the best of their ability.

  4. Providing a harmonious social environment for members, their families, visitors and guests.

  5. Involving our club in the community by making our facilities available to schools, local groups, disabled people and other organisations.

  6. Recognising and maintaining the integrity and respect of the sport and that of its fellow members.

  7. Ensuring that all bowlers are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

     Dr William Gilbert Grace an English Cricket legend, also played Lawn Bowls and became England's first Captain, then President, and  was instrumental  in amalgamating British bowling  clubs & district affiliations  into  world wide organisations.
