We wish to thank Richmondshire Council for providing two grants this year. One grant (CAP15) enabled us to purchase a shed to store match equipment. The other met our needs for shelving in the clubhouse (CAP08).

In recent years, Richmondshire Council have providing grants for bowls, dementia equipment, and a substantial sum for our ditch underpinning project.

In lieu of the 'fun' day (which didn't happen this year because we were too busy) some of our esteemed members gathered at the green on a cold, murky morning to perform the winter maintenance ritual. Here they are, brandishing their tools for the camera, and below, seen in action with them, demonstrating their prowess and teamwork. A superb effort.

Winter maintenance is not all fun and games, as this photo amply demonstrates. Here are two of our professionals, showing nerves of steel as they guide a 10-ton tractor onto the precious green. (The commander is on the right, with only his guiding hand visible). Needless to say, the whole operation went as smoothly as expected, and we are indeed fortunate to have a green team that functions as a well-oiled machine, even if it does need the occasional bacon butty (sandwich) to keep it going.
